The Brompton Bicycle Experience
My decision to buy a Brompton bike was not a quick one. But after such long deliberation and careful consideration, I'm very glad I did it.

In restaurants, cafés, and other venues of leisure, we're being nightclubbed to death by overzealous DJs. I wanted to pitch an alternative soundtrack.
As I write this, I’m sitting at my desk in an uncluttered 372 sq ft studio apartment in a repurposed hotel on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
An appreciation of the simple (and underrated) comfort of a rigatoni or penne all'arrabbiata.
I don’t travel much. But when I do skip town for a break, I just want to relax on my own terms.
A quick and dirty supplement to my post on "One Good Watch."
Enthusiasm for watches can get really aggressive. For some, it’s like a bloodsport with clubs of men who live for showing off their #sexpile (a.k.a. collection) of luxury wrist wear.
If you have the budget and the desire to invest in a collection of multiple watches for different moods and occasions, I totally get it. The design, craft, machinery, engineering, precision, pursuit of excellence, and human ingenuity that go into watchmaking is captivating. If more men got into watches instead of guns, it would be a better world. But many men don’t have the money or the interest in collecting. Despite what influencers, social media, magazines, and other men’s style resources may tell you, the truth is that you only need one good watch.
The idea of not drinking is weird for a lot of people. More than 20 years after my last drink, I can easily say that getting sober is the best thing I've ever done.
It's going to be a long four years, and I'm determined to get through them with my sanity and humor intact.
As much as I love my home theater setup, I love going to the movies.
